It's been four months since Bobcat announced it was selling to Doosan Infracore. {Open} Today, the two parties meet to close on the deal. In this weeks edition of Around Town, Brad Feldman shows us what happens next. Doosan Infracore and Ingersol Rand Bobcat officials made the four-point-nine billion dollar sale official today. The three entities will operate as individual businesses. There will be Doosan Infracore, Doosan Infracore Portable Power (formerly Ingersoll Rand Utility Equipment), and DII Attachments (formerly Ingersoll Rand Attachments). Doosan has now become one of the top ten global manufacturers of construction and utility equipment. {Transition} Nancy Phelps already helps people make their homes clutter free. Now she is getting ready to open a whole new business. Phelps bought out the former Main Street Coffee in Mandan and is moving it to a new location at 111 6th Street Northwest in Mandan. It will have all of the coffee drinks you want with some other items on the side. She will also have a consignment business in the building for high end decorations and antiques. Phelps hopes to have the business open Wednesday December 5th. {Transition} Two buildings on North 5th Street in Bismarck are going in opposite directions. This building at 116 North 5th Street has been bought by the Rainmaker Gusto Ventures. The main floor of the building will have an art studio in the front. The back side of the building will be the office for the business consulting business known as the Rainmaker Group. The plan for the upper levels of the building is to renovate them into high end condos. The main floor of the building will be complete in mid january with the condos expected to be ready next year at this time. The building just to the south at 114 North 5th Street is the home of Scrapbook Treasures. However, come December 15th this space will be empty. The owner of the craft and scrapbooking business says she will be closing her shop because of competition. Taking you Around Town, I'm Brad Feldman If you have any business news you can call Brad at 355-9103. Next week Brad will be taking us inside the new Bank of North Dakota building.
