"The Power to Create Life" Part IIThis short 35mm film was designed to reach young people in movie theatres during the previews of coming attractions with a message to not misuse, "...their power to create life"Tom Lenard filmed this project wide-screen in 35mm motion picture film. The in-camera effects were achieved via the use of scotchlite reflective material, beam splitters, neon rods along with front and reverse/front screen projection of pre filmed images in black and white and color. Over all, the idea was to parody a scene from the first "Superman" motion-picture in the 1970s where the large black and white faces of councl members are seen being presented evidence by Marlon Brando's charactor Jarel (sp) regarding the fate of their planet Krypton and of the evil doings of some of their particular badguys.PRESS COVERAGE THEATRE FILMS:http://www.auburn.edu/~lenartc/press1...POWER TO CREATE: (Storyboard sample)http://www.auburn.edu/~lenartc/storyb...INTERESTING NOTE: This current (Feb 12, 2008) NEWS report shows that this film's reference to Earth's serious problem with space debris continues: http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/playe...KEY CREW:Tom Lenard, Producer, Director/DP-EditorTom Causland, First Assistant DirectorCedron Wynn, Audio/EngineeringJohn Gilbert, 2nd Camera Assist and bkgd -plate projectionsDonnie Anderson, Grip TruckProduction Assistants,Don Davino, Philip Gowan"Little Joe" Cattalanotto, Crane/Generator and Explosives Expert (Little Joe with the help of his brothers and other stringers were "Independent Studios" out of New Orleans.
