Chattanooga Cold Case: Robert Dave
Duration: 2:37Source: YouTube
www.wdef.comThe 9-1-1 call came in just after one a.m. November 19th, 2001. The girlfriend of Robert Dave and another man went by Dave's house at 1322 Bradt street, and saw the front door open. Dave's girlfiend then found the 45-year old lying on the kitchen floor, with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. "He was a known drug dealer," reports Chattanooga Homicide Investigator James Holloway. "People say that he wouldn't allow anyone in his house, unless he knew him. And generally what he did was he did his dealings from the back door." Investigator James Holloway says the dealings involved crack cocaine. At the crime scene, it appeared the victim was robbed. Dave's wallet was pulled out of his back pocket. There is also a possibility the person who killed him stole drugs from the house. "We believe whoever did it, he knew," adds Holloway. "He let them in the house. And you know, it appears that his back was turned when he was shot." For now, the murder of Robert Dave in November of 2001 remains a mystery.
