A traveling memorial just inside the State Fair center has drawn plenty of interest at the 2007 North Dakota State Fair. Visions of Valor features 24 photographs of Medal of Honor recipients, and their thoughts about freedom and service. Tri-West health care owns the traveling exhibit. It also owns a second memorial with more photos that was donated to the Pentagon to be on permanent display there. Fair officials say it's the first time the display has ever been in the areaand it's been tweaked for its appearance at the state fair. (Jessica Bollinger, ND State Fair) They've tried to pick Medal of Honor recipients from our region just to have more of a local tie. A lot of people that stop by will stop and go through the display, it's grabbed a lot of attention. It's just a really neat display. The Medal of Honor is nation's highest military award for valor under fire. To learn more about the display, you can visit www.visionsofvalor.com
