Remember When, Haru-chan?
Duration: 4:38Source: YouTube
Minor spoilers for eps 25 & 26! This is an entry in Mitsukichan242's January AMV contest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocVpph3uNMQ The task was to use any "Disney Song" with any anime, with bonus points for using Ouran (or a few other animes). So, I tried to pick a song / songs that I figured had never been used before for an AMV (and I have yet to find one on youtube - and, yes, "Please Remember" is a different song). I sincerely apologize for the subtitles, but I let's just say that I spent hours trying to get the subless videos to run on my laptop and, obviously, I never did get it to work. I also apologize for the slightly lower quality of this movie - I tried no less than 4 times to get my original file to upload to youtube and it was simply too big. I'm working on getting it uploaded to animemusicvideos.org and if that succeeds, I'll post the link here. Main Song Title: Remember When - (Disneyland) 50th Anniversary Theme Song Song Artist: LeAnn Rimes (with Richard Marx) Series: Ouran High School Host Club Series Credits: Bisco Hatori and BONES Clips Provided by: For Richer Or Poorer (FRoP) FRoP Website: Ouran-Koukou.org Prelude Music Title: Remember... Dreams Come True! Prelude Music Source: (Disneyland) 50th Anniversary Fireworks Spectacular Credits Music Title: Tarzan Medley Credits Music Source: Disneyland Tarzan Treehouse Song All Songs from: Official Album of The Disneyland Resort: the Happiest Celebration On Earth Note: This AMV was made with ***iMovie***, not iTunes as my credits claim. Oops. The Story: Shortly before graduation, Hani realizes that he'd like to leave "Haru-chan" with a very special message. He meets with her and, to help prepare her for his true message, he tries to get Haruhi to join him in singing a simple little song that most (American) children know, with some minor modifications. (That and you can hear the rest of the Host Club doing back-up. XD) Haruhi agrees to listen with open ears. Hani's message is this: "Even after I leave, please try not to forget what it's like to be a child, to have fun, and sometimes just to be spontaneously silly. Remember the good times we had - just try to channel that energy, and I'm sure you'll find yourself in a child-like state again." Hani reminisces that it took "Tama-chan" recruiting him to the Host Club for this very message to become significant, and so Haruhi looks upon Tamaki a little differently, thinking that it won't be too difficult to act out Hani's request with Tamaki around for inspiration. After their final day together, Haruhi dreams memories, the final dream breaking out into color just before she wakes up. Another note: Just to be clear, I didn't intend this AMV as a HaniHaru (Hani x Haruhi) pairing AMV, but I guess take it as you will. I just meant to emphasize the "Sempai" (Elder or Senior, i.e. "person to be respected") & "Kouhai" (Younger or Junior, i.e. "person who should be respectful") relationship (Japanese: kankei, which is a "relationship" w/o the romantic/sexual connotation - like the relationship between Politicians and Newspapers) Tags: ouran high school host club hani haruhi disney remember when leann rimes haninozuka mitsukuni fujioka hunny honey ohshc anime amv
