Sangeetha Thimaiah, an economist at IDEAglobal, talks with Bloomberg's Bernard Lo from Singapore about a report today showing Japan's economy grew faster than economists expected last quarter, the outlook for growth and Bank of Japan monetary policy. Gross domestic product expanded an annualized 3.3 percent in the three months ended March 31, better than the 2.5 percent median estimate of 32 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News, the Cabinet office said in Tokyo.
