Norfolk Southern Intermodals Lean Through Curve
Duration: 4:38Source: YouTube
October 6, 2007: NS 21J with NS SD70M-2's 2774 and 2742 heads westbound at 50 MPH under the 116 signal tower at Cove, PA on the NS Pittsburgh Line. NS 26T then comes eastbound with NS Dash-9-40CW 9975 (4th last ordered), Conrail SD60I NS 6747, and Conrail Dash-8-40CW NS 8400. Gotta love how those double stacks lean through those banked turns! A dragging equipment detector can be heard for MP 116. 26T blows the K5LA horn for us and the crossing ahead. Ugh, I hate white intermodal containters, as you can see what the sun does! If you are wondering what some of those odd sounds are, well they are probably sounds that the camera pics up that our human ears can, notice the high frequency 'whistles' from the wheels hitting the curve.
