Starting 18 months ago with the campaign announcements to the last primaries in South Dakota and Montana that secured the Democratic nomination for Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL). We also look at how Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was able to lock up the Republican nomination only a few months after debt and staff turnover almost derailed his campaign.
