John finalizes the deal with the customs guy to hold up all shipments from the Kiriakis empire. He hangs up as Belle, Shawn and Claire arrive at the mansion. Belle wants to see her dad. John invites them in. They tell him about their plans to sail the world, after they save enough money to buy a new boat. John volunteers to buy them a boat. Shawn clearly doesn't want to accept. Belle knows John is not the same, but if this is all he can give then she needs to say yes. Shawn reluctantly agrees. John tells them to pick out whatever boat they want. He's giving them a blank check. John shares a warm moment with Claire and says bon voyage to Belle and Shawn. Later, Shawn, Belle and Claire show up at the hospital to see Bo and Hope. They tell them about the new boat. Bo urges them to start their adventure now, don't wait for him to be released. They agree and say their goodbyes. Kayla is at the hospital to check on Bo and gets called to the ER, just as Steve is about to tell her about Ava. Steve has a chat with Kayla's OB/GYN who tells him to make Kayla rest and avoid all stress. Steve decides to hold off on sharing the news about his past. Victor's having his first therapy session with Marlena. Victor tells Marlena how John is interfering with his shipping business. Now Philip is running the business and is forced to deal with all of this. He wanted so much more for his son. Victor gets a call from Philip and Marlena realizes John has bribed Paul, the customs guy, after all. Later Victor is on the docks with Max. Vic swears he will do whatever it takes to protect the Kiriakis business. Max is unloading a shipment from a Kiriakis boat when Paul tells him to put it all back. Max calls Philip. When Morgan shows up at the docks, Max realizes Paul is her father. Philip shows up at the DiMera mansion ready to do battle with John. Mid-argument, Marlena shows up livid that John lied to her. Marlena rails at John and storms out. Philip can't believe John is willing to lose the love of his life over this. Philip's already lost Belle, and it looks like John is about to lose Marlena.
