From my trip to China, August 2007. In one of the hotels we stayed, one of the drivers "found" a puppy in the hallway, and decided to take it home with him. I can't imagine that there would be many stray puppies wandering hotels in need of owners, but we were happy to have him on the long ride back. Here's Missy holding him. He's chewing on some prayer beads she bought at a monastery--beads blessed by monks for luck. Also note the cheesy music in the background, which was what Missy's Chinese, male, middle-aged uncle loved to listen to.
