The Collegiate Women Sports Awards program, presented by Honda, recognizes accomplishments made in women's collegiate sports. Each year, the nation's top Division I female collegiate athletes are honored for their outstanding achievements in their respective sports, with one of the honorees taking home the coveted Honda-Broderick Cup. The 2008 Honda-Broderick Cup winner is basketball superstar Candace Parker. A former player for the University of Tennessee, Parker currently plays for the Los Angeles Sparks and has been selected for the U.S. Olympic Women's Basketball team.
