Personally, I do it in the hope of a video's viewers being amused. Many people don't view it as a form of comedy but as an art type but there is a certain amount of artistic skill needed to entertain and the view of some that it is indeed art only highlights the diversity of Poop and its makers. Some people prefer stuff that uses Hotel Mario and whatnot, whereas others might prefer a Poop that is completely unrecognisable from its source material. I enjoy Poop because I have a pretty strange sense of humour, as I imagine quite a few Poopers do, but as with the aforementioned artistic viewpoint, it, like other forms of art and media, is an expression of self.
