After placing second the past two years on the Lake Woerthersee center court, Brazilians Emanuel Rego and Ricardo Santos returned to the top of the podium by winning the men's gold medal in the $600,000 A1 Grand Slam. Competing in their fourth straight A1 Grand Slam finale, the top-seeded Emanuel and Ricardo scored a 21-13, 21-14 win in 44 minutes over 14th-seeded David Klemperer and Eric Koreng of Germany to share the $43,500 first-place prize in the fifth of five major events on the 2007 FIVB World Tour calendar.
