Find out how students at Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College in Bradford are running a commercially successful sub-aqua business within their school, gaining invaluable real world experience in the process. The company, Go Aqua, grew after the popularity of a series of diving sessions in the school pool. Now the students are pulling in valuable revenue by marketing similar sessions to local primary schools, parents and others. Students take on a variety of roles within the business. They are hands-on instructors in the water and hard-headed business people in the boardroom, enabling them to experience aspects of marketing, accounting, logistics and more. Elsewhere, we follow the progress of Year 11 Ilkey Grammar School student Nik as he undertakes a challenge to design conceive, design and cost a consumer magazine during his period with a design company in Bradford.
