"So, what are you going to wear?" Steph asked me when we got into my room. I walked to my closet and opened it, looking over all my options."I don't know.." I started. "But, if you want to talk about the kiss you can." I heard Steph jump into my bed and scream into the pillow. Then, she started telling me everything that happened."Wow, okay. So he just kept talking and talking. Well, it seemed like it. I don't really know because I was just staring into his gorgeous eyes and not listening to a word he said. Then, he stopped talking, but I didn't notice. Right? Okay, so then, the next thing I know he's just coming closer and closer and I don't even remember what I was thinking. Then it happened, you know what I'm talking about. He kissed me Amanda, he freaking kissed me!" she yelled, and then collapsed into a chair and caught her breath."So, this?" I asked her, holding up jeans and a dark blue sweatshirt."Did you listen to a word I said?" Honestly, I didn't. I was thinking about-- "Amanda?" she asked me, after I obviously started daydreaming."Yeah, of course. But, he's going to be here in a few hours and I want to make sure I'm ready." I lied, and then held up the outfit a little higher. Steph shook her head."No. Let me pick it, you have no personal style." Steph joked to me. She dug through my closet and shoved her choice into my arms and told me to go change. I did, and when I came out she looked shocked. I was wearing dark skinny jeans and some random beige poofy shirt that Steph found burried in my closet."I think I'm going to wear a sweatshirt over it.." I said, reaching for a sweatshirt, but Steph stopped me."Trust me, you look fine. Now come downstairs and wait for him, okay?" she said. I sighed and walked downstairs, and I hid my nervousness. It was three o'clock and I sat on the couch, waiting with Steph. We talked and watched TV, basically nothing. He was picking me up at five, and it was 4:15. I started tapping my foot, anxiously. I got so many butterflies in my stomach, it was overwhelming. Every time I thought about him, shivers raced down my spine. I sighed away my nervousness once more, and then the doorbell rang. I looked at the clock, 4:22. I looked at Steph and furrowed my eyebrows, confused. "Do you think that's him?" I asked."I don't know.." Steph said, then she got up and ran to the window. She crouched down and peeked out and then came running back to me. She stood by the door, getting ready to open it, and then I ran over next to the door and leaned against the wall so that I could listen, but so that he couldn't see me. When I was set up, Steph opened the door."Wow, you're early." Steph said to him with a smile."Well, I just couldn't wait.." I heard him say to her. I could tell by the tone of his voice that he was smiling, and I swear I almost collapsed right then and there. I stood up strait and gulped, and then I took a step in front of the door. Joe, who was looking at his feet at the time, looked up and his eyes flickered back and forth. He pulled his eyes away from mine, and then looked at my outfit. He, wearing a tuxedo, looked at me and remembered what I said to him when I agreed to go on the date."Aw, you were serious?"okay, so I lied. next chapter will be the date. and i have good ideas, including drama. it'll be up asap, definitely today. :)
