Weekly* Series featuring Tutorials for those who are puzzled with the NoLimits Program. A new tutorial/tip will be posted every Tuesday. ------------------------------------- In today's tutorial, we have custom stations. If you don't know how to create 3d objects, and/or dislike the standard NoLimits Station, here's how to make your own station using only custom supports! The idea is using several free nodes and a choice of a support beam/tube to create a station. The most important thing to know is that every station has a base. The typical station base should look like so: ....... ........ I-----I.I----I (Diagram 1) A typical I----------I station base as shown I..............I Now when using free nodes, you should make the station one side at a time. As you see in the video, I begin by making the Front, Top, and Back side. We don't need to worry about the bottom, since it's sitting flat on the ground. you place many free nodes on the ground next to each other. Count them, put the same amount on a different side, and make sure the width of a track section can fit in-between the sides. Now add 4 rows of the same amount on each side close together. Connect them all vertically with a support/beam/tube of your choice. Highlight the top row, and move it to the end of the station. Now highlight the next row, and move it vertically above the previous row (just moved), now completing part of one side. High light the next row, and put it on top of the other end of the station, perpendicular to the previous row you just moved. and move the final row perpendicular below the previous row you moved. Do the same process on the other side/set of free nodes you didn't move yet. Next we have the area below the station track, this section as so: ....... ........ I---I.I------I (Diagram 2) The I---I.I------I rectangle shape as I.....I.I......I shown Put 4 rows of free nodes, enough free nodes to fill the empty space you left that can fill the width of the track. Connec them all with the tube/beam you chose, and do the same process you did when putting the sides of the station, just with one row, and that it's not the same height. You should leave a certain space for the track. Now for the sides, you put four rows of vertical free nodes, connect two sides, and then the other two sides. DO NOT CONNECT ALL THE SIDES. You should leave a space in between each column of free nodes. Move one column to the end of the station, and the other side adjacent/connected to the other. Do the same process with the other set of free nodes. You should of now completed the station! For the roof, just put two rows of free nodes that can fit or extend wider than the width than the station, and connect them. Move one row above on end, and the other row to the other end. Connect Each corner of the top of the station to the roof like so: I^^^^^^^^^I (Diagram 3) The roof I...... .......I as shown I-----I.I----I I----------I I..............I And that is how you make a custom station! If you have any further questions, please comment on the video, or my channel. Or you can send me a message. There is another and more clever way of making a custom station which will be featured in next week's tutorial. *May be posted at a different date on occasions. --------------------------------------- The following video is not recorded at normal speed.
