Chapter 9McKenzie: *Answers the door* Oh my god! Claudia!Nick: Claudia? Why are you here so early?Claudia: I'm not, it's the 12th...?Nick: Oh my god really? *Thinks-We need to get moving on the plans and stuff*McKenzie: *To the guy behind Claudia* Oh hey, you must be Tristan.Tristan: Yeah, that's me. Who are you? Sorry.Claudia: Oh, my bad. Tristan this is McKenzie, Nick, Kacy, Joe, Deena, and Kevin. Everyone: Hey!Tristan: Hi. McKenzie: Well come on in. We were about to have a snack or something.The next few days went really well. Everyone got used to having Claudia and Tristan around. (They were staying at the Jonas house in the Guest rooms.) Finally it was Valentines day, and the day before the party for McKenzie. Everyone was about to leave for dinner, together. It was one big group date. They all looked really cute. Joe and Kacy matched in pink, a dress for Kacy and a shirt on Joe. Deena and Kevin had matching pale green, and Nick and McKenzie matched in Red. Claudia and Tristan were wearing blue. Claudia: Oh my gosh this place is super nice! Tristan: It really is, but you look way better. Joe: Kacy, did it hurt?Kacy: huh? Joe: When you fell from heaven?Everyone: Smooooth, Joe. Joe:*Pops collar* Hah, I know.Kevin: Deena, you look amazing.Deena: Thanks you look pretty cute yourself.Nick: Kenzi, You know I think you're beautiful.McKenzie: Yeah, I do. Nick: *Smiles* Good, because I'm so hungry. Can we sit down?Kevin: Hah, yeah. Our tables over there. Dinner went amazing. The girls got amazing little trinkets and gifts. For a Valentines Day...the boys really went all out. Cards, chocolate, flowers, you name it. After the foodage everyone split for their own time together. With Nick and McKenzie...Nick: Happy Valentines Day beautiful.McKenzie: Happy Valentines Day! *Kisses him* (AN: BTW I am eating Fruity Pebbles and they seriously get eaten like really fast. I just refilled my bowl and now they're like gone...angry)Nick: Thank you, are you excited for tomorrow? You're gonna be sixteen!McKenzie: Yeah, I am gonna be exactly a whole 7 months older than you!Nick: Well, that's one way to think of it. But remember, I still got my learners before you. McKenzie: Only 'cause I failed the test! Nick: Well, I didn't. *Laughs*McKenzie: So what are we doing tomorrow night?Nick: Well we are going to dinner. McKenzie: Where?Nick:...Surprise.McKenzie: Okay then what are we doing after?Nick: Who said anything about after?McKenzie: Oh, never mind then. Nick: Okay?McKenzie: I'm excited, I get to spend the night of my 16th birthday with the best boyfriend ever. Wow, I never thought I would say that. I thought it would just be with "the best friend ever..."Nick: Yeah, same. McKenzie: Haha, wow its getting late...should we go home?Nick: Yeah, we are taking you back to your house...McKenzie: Okay.With Joe and Kacy:Joe: So, how'd you like your Valentines Day?Kacy: It was pretty amazing, how could it not be?Joe: What do you mean?Kacy: Well for one it's the first Valentines Day I've spent with a boyfriend in a long time. And two, it's the first Valentines Day I've spent with you...well, as my boyfriend. The best boyfriend, the sweetest boyfriend. Joe: Aww, thanks. Kacy: You deserve it. You made this the best Valentines Day ever. And they kiss, and in the background Kevin and Deena look around, seeing the two couples so happy to be together. The two reflect on their past Valentines Days, the ones they spent with the boys/ girls they "loved."Kevin: Do you remember that one boy you dated, like senior year of high school?Deena: The one who broke up with me over text message, on my birthday?Kevin: Yeah, him. Deena: Well yeah, but why did you bring him up?Kevin: Because I wanted an example. Deena: An example of what?Kevin: Of what I would never do to you, or what I would never let anyone else do to you. Deena: I don't get what you mean. Kevin: Well I'm trying to say...that, I love you. And that I would never hurt, I remember how upset and hurt you were after that happened. You were at my house, in my bedroom crying your eyes out on your 18th birthday. You looked miserable, and I couldn't do anything to help you. But I wanted to tell you that will never happen to you again. Even if we don't last forever, anyone you date after me will never ever hurt you.Deena: That's sweet of you, but I have a feeling that you and me may be the end. There might not be anyone after you, and even if there is it wont be for a very, very long time. And then they kissed, making it the best Valentines Day for all of them.
