Duration: 0:57Source: YouTube
Anna Chan: Asia's markets ended broadly higher today, as investors looked to bargain hunt before the end of the business year. Japan's Nikkei average jumped as investors bought on the second last day of the financial year. The Nikkei gained around 1.7 percent (12820), as Japan's largest bank, Mitsubishi Financial Group, rose. Japanese exporter Toyota gained by 2.5 percent, following a 12.8 percent rise in its global output in February. In Seoul, the market advanced almost 2 percent as traders remained positive despite a North Korean missile launch. Exporter LG Electronics rose over 6 percent. In China the Shanghai stock index surged 5 percent on rumors of a trading tax cut and oil giant Petrochina shook off a decline in oil prices.
