D.J. Carrasco warms up during a July 2007 Pacific Coast League contest between the Tucson Sidewinders and the Fresno Grizzlies. Carrasco signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox for 2008 and will be invited to major league camp during spring training in Tucson. The 6-foot-1, 215 pound right-hander was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 26th round of the 1997 First-Year Player Draft out of Pima Community College. He has been a part of the Orioles, Cleveland Indians, Pittsburgh Pirates, Kansas City Royals and Arizona Diamondbacks organizations in year's past, in addition to Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks in 2006. His major league experience was with the Royals from 2003-05.
