Dr. Boyce Watkins analyzes The alliance between Oprah Winfrey and Senator Barack Obama. He also discusses the implications for the 2008 presidential election.Dr. Watkins was one of the people that helped Rev. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton get Don Imus off the air after he referred to the Rutgers Women's basketball players as "Nappy Headed Hoes". Dr. Watkins has appeared on ESPN, CNN, BET, Fox News, CBS and other networks fighting for racial equality. He and Al Sharpton appeared on The Wendy Williams Experience in New York, and Watkins has also gotten into powerful feuds with Bill O'Reilly of Fox News (The O'Reilly Factor) and Sean Hannity of Hannity & Colmes. He has appeared with Michael Eric Dyson many times, The Rev. Jesse Jackson and other African-Americans fighting for equal rights for black people. Watkins was one of the first to bring the Jena 6 case to light in national media, and he also was the one who gave Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson the idea to attack Don Imus' corporate sponsors. It was ultimately Watkins' idea that took Imus off the air.
