Not my typical production style, but I made a short vlog. I talk a little bit about a new updated-daily short video spot on my website called "Daily QuickVids". I also talk very briefly about why it takes so long between my production video releases. The Daily QuickVids are shot with my communicator (wireless phone camera to you ordinary people). That is why their quality is not very good. That is also essentially what makes them possible in the first place - the ease of pulling out my communicator to shoot a quick video and easily upload it to my website. I actually cut out about 95% of what I recorded. In part because my camera decided to start crapping out on me and much of what I recorded was just lost, period. The other reason is that I just rambled on a lot and complained too much about problems I have with my shoddy production tools. No one wants to hear that, I'm sure. Contrary to the question that I am often asked: I am not a professional filmmaker and do not have access to very good tools to work with. I love when people ask if I'm a pro though, I take that as a compliment. :-) There's a quick thanks to my subscribers here at YouTube as well as thanks to all the kind words everyone who's given me feedback on my productions. I really appreciate that people have taken time to share their thought about my work with me. :-D I'm kind of uncomfortable in front of a camera just being me, so it's not likely I'll vlog often. You can see me squirming around a little at times in this short video. I don't know how people vlog so comfortably. It's really hard for me. I'm not even sure I like how this turned out. Oh well. It is what it is. The uncredited music in the intro sequence is from The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins by Leonard Nemoy. It was a very last minute addition (literally just before I compiled it) and forgot to add a credit in my rush to complete this when I did. I love obscure stuff like that! :-D EDIT: Although I explain that QuickVids have no editing and postproduction at all in this vlog, ironically a day after making this, I made my first production-style QuickVid. Oh well. Not that anyone actually reads this video description stuff all the way. :-P .
