SFA-08-31-08 Part 5 Pastor Peters has been delivering a series on the “Jezebel” spirit from the pulpit of the LaPorte Church of Christ for several weeks now. The following is an email from an Acre of Diamonds man giving insight on the subject of Jezebel. 2 Samuel 12:13 And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against Jehovah. His house, his seed suffered because of his sin. These women have put their seed in jeopardy by their rebellion. Also within the story of David and Bathsheba is the story of Jezebel. There is no account of Bathsheba saying, “no, no, I am a married woman”. She seems to be complicit and accommodating to David’s sin. Was she rebellious herself to begin with? Secondly, I was to have my wife look up the word “despise” in the dictionary.
