高画質版はこちら http://togotv.dbcls.jp/20081107.html NCBIが提供するデータベースの１つにUnigeneがあります。Unigeneは遺伝子のESTデータベースであり、様々な遺伝子のEST配列を取得することが出来ます。ESTとは"expressed sequence tag"の略でRNAの一部に当たる短い配列であり、転写産物の目印として使われています。 また、検索した生物と他の生物種のタンパク質配列を比較することで機能を類推したり、ESTが生物の体のどの部位で得られているかなども知ることが出来ます。 今回は、ブタのsox2遺伝子に関して調べた場合のUnigeneの使い方を紹介しています。
