The New York premiere of 'Where the Wild Things Are' brought back fond childhood memories on Tuesday night. Forest Whitaker, who lent his voice to the character Ira in the film, clearly remembers this classic tale. He told ET, "I got this book read to me when I was a little kid. It was one of the first books I remember reading through because it has lots of pictures and even before you could read you could look at it. It stuck with me and I read it to my kids. It just keeps going. I think it’s the kind of book that just rides generations." This was a bed-time story favorite in Tom Hanks' household. "This was always going to be a nearly impossible work," the actor says of converting the classic tale to a film. From reading it to his children so many times, he admitted, "I know this book by heart."
