Ice Fishing video for Explore Minnesota Tourism’s website My Favorite Minnesota that features ice fishing destinations in Mn—The Aitken Fish House Parade, The Brainerd Jaycees $150,000 ice fishing tournament, the solitude of the Mankato area, the uniqueness of dark house ice fishing, and fish houses on Mille Lacs. The video opens in a kitchen with a refrigerator freezer. The freezer door is opened and the viewer is introduced to a 5” tall ice fisherman named “The Old Timer”. He’s a Santa-esque old salt fishing through a miniature hole inside the freezer next to ice trays, frozen vegetables, and fish sticks. Throughout the video, he mentors the “New Timer” about where to go in Minnesota to learn about ice fishing. Both The New Timer and The Old Timer are both played by Steve Barone as well as the hologram Darth Walleye who makes a cameo. The video comes full circle with an killer 80’s ending ala the Karate Kid when the The Old Timer and New Timer characters are seen fishing together in the freezer when another newbie opens the freezer door.Special Effects were filmed at Clarity Coverdale Fury’s very own green screen studio.
