the sodium acetate to work as hot ice. When you want to do the "hot ice" freezing reaction, just warm the mixture over a stove or dip in a hot water bath until it completely melts. A microwave also works. Then let it cool down. If you find it freezes by itself when you’re cooling then you need to make sure you completely melt every last bit of sodium acetate.
