This is a compilation of several short Cartoon Network station identifications, bumpers and promos from around 1994-1995. While the footage may have been recorded off of a Spanish, overseas version of Cartoon Network, these various promos originated and first aired on the U.S Cartoon Network, and are identical to these versions save for the Spanish voice-overs. The clips which make up this compilation are as follows (in playing order): - Clips 1 & 2: Cartoon Network "shifting checkerboard" station ID's, in which small, cubic pieces of artwork and stills culled from Cartoon Network-related programming (MGM & Pre-'48 Warner Bros. shorts, Hanna-Barbera shows and shorts) make up an on-screen "checkerboard" that constantly shifts its tiles in rhythm with a bouncy tune until it rests in a scrambled order, revealing the old "checkerboard" Cartoon Network logo. Different variations of this ID exist, all of which followed the same "shifting checkerboard" routine and used the same bouncy music number, which in turn was used in many on-air Cartoon Network segments and could be considered as one of it's signature tunes from back then. - Clip 3: A Cartoon Network "animated shifting checkerboard" station ID, which is somewhat similar to the previous two ID's with the shifting checkerboard premise and all. This particular ID however, features stock animation and stills of various MGM/WB/Hanna-Barbera characters making their way inside, outside and through a more complex checkerboard, which also shifts in rhythm to yet another bouncy tune and ends with the checkerboard CN logo. The Spanish voiceover says to "enjoy "Tom & Jerry" on Cartoon Network", though to my memory the U.S Cartoon Network never featured such voiceovers over these ID's.
