Hi I’m Rebecca Field with today's UPI entertainment update on this Friday, April 18, 2008. Britney Spears' lawyers are getting a nice big payday. Yesterday, an LA court ordered nearly 400,000 dollars in payment for attorneys involved in the singer's affairs for the past few months. Included in the lawyers waiting to cash in are her court appointed attorney, the co-conservator of her finances and the legal team helping out her family members. Now that American Idol is over for Kristy Lee Cook, she can focus on another big day…her wedding. The singer, who was eliminated from the show earlier this week, has revealed her secret engagement to her boyfriend Andy Dobner. He reportedly proposed to her in March at her Idol apartment, but they decided to keep it quiet. Cook says there's no wedding date yet but they're thinking next June. Fans are going wild over Mariah Carey's new album. The singer signed copies of E=MC2 for hundreds of people at Universal studios yesterday. Early sales numbers show the album is already a big hit since it's release earlier this week. It may even top the album charts next week. The CD is a follow up to her 2005 hit The Emancipation of Mimi. David Hasselhoff and his ex Pamela Bach have finally reached a divorce deal. According to settlement papers, the former Baywatch actor has agreed to hand over $25,000 a month to support Bach and their two daughters. But they will share joint custody of the girls, 17 year old Taylor and 15 year old Hayley. The pair divorced in 2006 after 16 years of marriage. Britain's Prince Harry is now a lieutenant. The Prince, who recently returned from duty in Afghanistan, has reportedly been promoted from second lieutenant. A British newspaper says it gives him a raise in salary and also means he could reach the captain status in three years. That's all for now.
