BioGPS（「バイオジーピーエス」と読みます）はAffymetrix社製のマイクロアレイであるGeneChipを用いたヒト、マウス、ラットのさまざまな組織や細胞(株)における遺伝子発現プロファイルのデータベースです。このデータベースは昨年の番組でも紹介したGNF SymAtlasのメジャーアップデート版です。 今回から新たにマウスのMOE430アレイのデータが追加され、検索できる遺伝子の数や対象となる組織や細胞(株)の種類が拡充されています。また、マウスのエキソンアレイのデータも参照することが可能で、遺伝子のスプライスバリアントの発現状況も調べることができます。さらに、検索した遺伝子に対して、種々の外部のデータベースに横断検索した結果を表示することができます。
