My first competition in a complete set of Muay Chaiya rules. The rival was my own senior, Chaan. At the first duration of 90 seconds, we started the boxing just to demonstrate to the Muay Chaiya’s styles of hurling, pressing, grabbing, and breaking. After that, we were in a real competition, and Chann defeated me by pressing his elbow on the bottom of my breastbone . His next rival was Mr. Samingwayu who was finally grabbed and broken by Chaan either. However, if it were possible, we would like the audience to see that Muay Chaiya boxers can do those styles of fighting on ground. This style had been removed since 80 years ago when Muay Kaad Chuek was forbidden. But if it had not, then there might have been many of Muay Thai boxers on the ring of UFC or MMA. We usually have this test of boxing skills in Wai Kru ceremony or in level-passing exams, so I’m thinking that I’ll get my revenge next year
