This small film will tell you about Russian Orthodox holiday “Paskha”. You will see holiday ceremony and church divine service, which didn’t change for centuries. Paskha symbolize the beginning of spring and awakening of the nature. In this day russians bake holiday cakes, called “Kulich”, and come to churches. Video has been filmed in 2008 during Paskha celebration in Church of village “Ostashkovo”, located in Moscow Region. This unique ancient Orthodox church was constructed in 1699 and since that time never closed, even during Russian Communistic Revolution, Russian Civil War and World War II.
