In order to help them both move on, Dan opens a box of mementos from Samantha's pregnancy. As they look through the pictures, the sonograms and the obituary that Dan wrote for the child he never knew, Sam finally allows herself to grieve. She also notices that Dan is still helping her rather than dealing with his own issues. While Dan is reluctant to wander too far down memory lane, he admits that the bond between them is undeniable: he has trouble letting her in but he can't let her go either. Although Ben is worried about leaving his Nan and Pop at Number 28, Zeke convinces him that it'll be great to have his own room at Number 32. Libby is looking forward to living with Steph and as the move in, Susan and the two single mums toast to the brand new House of Skirt. Despite vowing to stop moping over men, Libby finds her feelings for Dan tested when Ben wants to take the local hero to school for Show and Tell. Although she forbids Ben to see Dan, her son goes behind her back and sneaks off to spend time at Number 30. When Libby goes to retrieve him she comes face to face with Sam and Dan and realises that she hasn't moved on at all. Sam advises Rosie to take it easy during her first trimester, revealing that she knows a thing or two about pregnancy. The story of her miscarriage reminds Rosie of all the things that can go wrong for an expectant mother and Frazer fears that his wife will freak out again. When he passes a school fete on his way to meet Rosie for lunch, he can't resist buying a beautiful handmade baby blanket. Rosie is touched by the gesture and reconfirms that she cannot wait to build a family with the man she loves. Declan and Ringo's band gets off to a painfully slow start.
