'Sherlock Holmes' will get an action-packed facelift when it is released this coming holiday season — but first ET is at Comic-Con 2009 with the movie’s stars Robert Downey Jr. and Rachel McAdams. "Sherlock Holmes was always a lot edgier and more complex than it was portrayed on TV or in films," Downey tells ET. "Going back to the books, we took comfort in how cutting edge and [director] Guy Ritchie-ready this interpretation would be." McAdams, who plays Robert's love interest in the film, reveals that she had never read the books by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but she since has picked them up and was surprised to discover how modern they still are.
