The Global Future
We have historically never invested outside the United States and I think that we have come to the realization that globalization is probably going to happen whether we like it or not. So there are things that we can do. There are things that we need to do, I think, in United States to make sure that we continue to help encouraging, continue innovation here, and technology because, as John mentioned, there are three times more engineers graduating in China than there are in United States. And we are concerned about the number of graduates and advance there is in technical fields here in the United States. So we want to work on helping to encourage that more, but we think we also need to embrace the fact that a lot of the best ideas aren’t going to come from Silicon Valley all the time. Yeah, so if either of my two daughters was asking me for career advice, which I assure you they don't, I would say: Learn Mandarin and then go into... prize study the molecular biology of the brain, something like that. Because, I think by the time they move from the ages of 8 and 13 to their mid-20s or 30s, they'd be well prepared to deal with the world. And by the way, a visit to some of these villages where Microlinex is going on make sure you know what this world is really like.
