iReport — When something gets stuck high in a tree you usually have to call in the professionals. Saturday October 24, 2009 was no exception, when engineering students from the University of Southern Indiana (USI) in Evansville, IN, discovered that their high altitude ballooning experiments had parachuted into a tree. Linesmen John Crays, Gary Potts and John Wininger  of Daviess-Martin REMC used their bucket truck to remove the top three pods, the parachute and the balloon remnant  from an oak tree on the edge of West Boggs Lake in Daviess County, IN. Local neighbor Chris Hogan was very helpful in arranging the Daviess-Martin REMC assistance. The USI high altitude ballooning team certainly appreciated the Hoosier hospitality which made possible a successful end to USI’s third high altitude balloon flight.
