The attorneys meet with a desperate widowed father Miller Sisto (David Paymer), who faces federal prosecution for importing human cells cloned from his ailing seven-year-old son, Axel (J.B. McEown). Knowing that Axel will not survive without a liver transplant, Sisto is not concerned with the consequences he faces; his only concern is getting the cells back from the government in time to grow a clone of his son and create a compatible donor. Hannah (Viola Davis) knows that Sisto can’t afford her firm's fees and is prepared to send him away, but Lukas (Ioan Gruffudd) persuades her to let him take the case pro bono. Meanwhile, Lee May (Kristin Lehman) and Darwin (Eric Schaeffer) agree to represent Ricky (J.B. Bourne), Jake (Chris Kramer), and Vincent (Cameron Park), three members of a boy band that knocked N' Sync off the charts back in 2005. The three are involved in a legal conflict with their fourth band mate, T.J. (Anthony Zerbe), whom they want to drop form an upcoming reunion tour on the grounds that he has violated their contractual agreement to keep himself in good physical shape and appearance.
