Ben Affleck is a well-known American actor who has appeared in several big-budget films throughout his professional career. Although his acting career began in 1987 with his role in the television movie Hands of a Stranger, his rise to prominence did not begin until 1993, when he appeared in the film Dazed and Confused.

His career continued with the 1995 film Mallrats, which was written and directed by Kevin Smith. His role as Chuckie Sullivan in the 1997 film Good Will Hunting was received positively - Ben shared an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award, among several others, with fellow actor Matt Damon. He was also nominated for a Screen Actor's Guild Award for his role in Good Will Hunting.

After Good Will Hunting, Ben Affleck appeared in several other Kevin Smith films, including 1997's Chasing Amy, 199's Dogma, and 2001's Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. In 1998, he won a Screen Actor's Guild Award for his role as Ned Alleyn in Shakespeare in Love.

Ben Affleck appeared in several major films that have continued to build his career. In 2002, he appeared in Changing Lanes, which garnered significant critical acclaim. This was followed by roles in 2003's Gigli and Daredevil, 2004's Jersey Girl, and 2006's Clerks II.

Ben Affleck resumed critical success with 2006's Hollywoodland and 2007's Gone Baby Gone, receiving numerous awards for both films. In 2009, he starred in He's Just Not That Into You, which featured other high-profile actors such as Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Aniston.
