Horse & Country TV will be launching its Online TV service very soon with a wide selection of 'Teaser' programmes available as Video on Demand (VOD). Early next year HCTV will complete its multiplatform objective by offering a full 24/7 Sky TV Channel, along with a delayed streaming of the channel content on broadband and a wide selection of full VOD programmes.
There are nearly 60 million people in the UK, more than 20% of whom live in the country; some 11 million people have an interest in horses, and 4.3 million of them are regular riders. But this is not just an equestrian channel; our audience includes more than 5 million dog owners, over 3 million anglers, the 3.5 million National Trust members and an estimated 7 million people who just love to walk in the countryside at weekends.
All areas of Horse & Country TV's multiplatform offering will be dedicated to equestrianism and the countryside. They will embrace an inclusive, community-spirited, passionate approach to equestrian and country activities and interests and address the needs of a wide range of viewers - young, old, amateur and sports professionals, country residents, farmers, enthusiasts and visitors. HCTV will inform and educate, bringing a new awa reness of equestrian, farming and rural communities; their problems, solutions and success stories. Stylistically, the channel will encapsulate the desire and passion of The Burghley Horse Trials, the educational qualities of Life on Earth and the inclusive, intimate and amusing approach of Bill Oddie Goes Wild, all in one diverse, multi-faceted offering.
The Channel is in partnership with the three equestrian Olympic disciplines; The British Show Jumping Association, British Eventing and British Dressage and endorsed by the British Equestrian Federation.
There is a real need for a Channel such as Horse & Country TV; we believe that you will be both interested and inspired by our programming, both on our Online Channel and on Sky next year.
