Our voices have been heard! One of the biggest television events of the year, the NFL's Super Bowl will be streamed live online for the first time ever. Watch the 2012 Super Bowl, the two wild card playoff games on Jan. 7, and the Pro Bowl on Jan. 29 live online. Super Bowl 46 will be held in Indianapolis on February 5, 2012.
The live TV streams will be available via both the NFL's and NBC's websites. We will have full coverage and the direct links once they are up and established. Additionally, Verizon's NFL mobile app will also provide live streaming coverage of the game.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and NeuLion released a new UFC mobile app for Android that allows UFC fans to track their favorite fighters and stream live and on-demand Pay-Per-View events, with multiple live video and audio feeds during the broadcast. The new UFC TV Android app will also give acces to UFC videos including event countdown shows, fighter interviews, press conferences, event previews, fighter workouts and other UFC free video content.

Sony unveiled this week a software update to their Sony Internet TV and Sony Internet TV Blu-ray Disc player line that upgrades Google TV on all devices. The new version adds the Android Market for apps including many designed and optimized for television. In addition to adding the Android Market, the new update brings a simpler and clean interface, improved performance, and better search functionality to all currently installed Sony Internet TV and Sony Internet TV Blu-ray owners.

YouTube is about to unveil 100 Internet TV channels of original programming from professional organizations to movie, music, and sports stars such as Antony Zuiker, the creator of criminal drama CSI, Madonna, Ashton Kutcher, Jay-Z, NBA star Shaquille O'Neal, Rainn Wilson, skateboard legend Tony Hawk, The Wall Street Journal, Thomson Reuters, Slate, satire site The Onion and Cosmopolitan owner Hearst. YouTube plans to add 25 hours of new original Internet TV programming content per day.
Most of the new Internet TV channels are slated to launch next year..

Amazon.com reached a new licensing agreement with Disney-ABC that will allow Amazon Prime members to instantly stream a broad selection of content from ABC Studios, Disney Channel, ABC Family and Marvel. Some of content available for Internet TV streaming includes episodes of past seasons from the ABC's Lost and Grey's Anatomy, Felicity, Greek, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, the popular Disney Channel show Phineas & Ferb and great animated series from Marvel such as Spider-Man, X-Men Evolution, and Iron Man.

The BBC has released an update for their Internet TV iPlayer iOS application that will support the new AirPlay features in Apple's iPhone and iPad. The update will allow you to wirelessly stream content from the BBC iPlayer application directly to your TV through Apple TV.

Watching Online TV on your Android-powered tablet just got improved with the release of an update Netflix app. The new
Netflix Android app adds supports for tablets running the Honeycomb-powered Android 3.x operating system such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab and Motorola Xoom. The new app also allows Netflix members in Canada and Latin America instantly watch TV episodes and movies streaming from Netflix on their Android-powered smartphones and tablets.

Apple re-released the
Apple TV 4.4.1 update Tuesday evening with a patch that prevents earlier problems with the update. Users were reporting unresponsive Apple TV boxes after the initial release of the update. Apple then pulled the update. Apple TV is the Internet TV player that allows you to stream online video and other content to your television.

Amazon.com will be adding even more PBS content to their
Amazon Prime Instant Videos streaming service after a newly reached agreement. The new agreement will bring instant straming of online videos of current PBS TV programming along with classic PBS favorites such as NOVA, Masterpiece, Ken Burns and for the first time on digital video -- The French Chef with Julia Child.
