2008 Ice Hockey World Championship (May 3-4)
The Ice Hockey World Championship, an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), features a minimum of 40 teams: 16 teams in the main group, 12 teams in Division I and 12 teams in Division II and if there are more than 40 teams, the rest compete in Division III. The top 3 teams in each division advance into the Qualifying round and the top four teams in each Qualifying round group advance into the knockout playoff stage. The 2008 Ice Hockey World Championship is held May 2-18, 2008, in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Quebec City, Canada. All 56 games will be broadcast live online on WCSN.

It’s time to hit the beach again with SWATCH and the world’s best beach volleyball players on the SWATCH FIVB World Tour 2008. The SWATCH FIVB World Tour 2008 will be more exciting than ever as players battle for qualifying points and a chance to represent their countries at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Twenty-four teams per gender will be chosen based on their top eight performances in Olympic Qualification tournaments, with the final names to be determined less than a month before the Games begin on 8 August 2008. The SWATCH FIVB World Tour 2008 calendar calls for 16 double-gender stops, including six Grand Slams (in Berlin, Paris, Stavanger, Moscow, Gstaad and Klagenfurt) and 8 Women’s and Men’s tournaments in separate locations. Select games from April to November are broadcast live online by WCSN.
