Football's Hidden Story is a 26 part documentary series of individually researched stories produced by CAN Communicate and Infront Sports & Media. These stories provide an up-close look into a world where football is more than just a game, it's a way of life with heartfelt stories from football enthusiasts such as Liberian amputee Dennis Parker who found his escape from the streets through football to become a star for his national team.
"FIFA wanted us to provide an insight into how football has an impact at a grass roots level and feature some of the powerful human stories where football really does make a difference," said David Wooster of CAN Communicate. "The Narrowstep platform provided us with an effective means to reach broadcasters through a high quality and secure destination on the Internet so that they could then share these stories with millions of people around the world."
In a technological first for an individual series, broadcasters can access all the resources they need to offer this exclusive new series to their audience using Narrowstep's downloadServer. Each episode is available via digital download on a 24/7 basis, providing editors and producers with an innovative and secure solution to access filmed versions available both cut and uncut, in edited three-minute segments or in the form of a Video News Release. Broadcasters can also access additional B-roll footage, as well as scripts and separate audio files for radio or podcasts.
"It is a great honour to be a part of something so extraordinary," said Barak Bar-Cohen, General Manager for UK and European Operations at Narrowstep.
