The Hurley Pro is one of 10 surfing events of the ASP World Tour and the only World Tour contest on the U.S. mainland.
The 2009 Hurley Pro, stop No. 6 on the ASP World Tour, takes place September 13-19, 2009, in Lower Trestles, California. The top 45 surfers and three wild cards (Brett Simpson, Rob Machado, World Junior Champion Kai Barger) compete for an overall purse of $400,000 with a first-prize enticement of $100,000. Current champion is Kelly Slater.
