A Capitol Fourth 2007 PBS
Duration: 4:06Source: YouTube
Join us live from Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Capitol for America's biggest and best-loved birthday party: A Capitol Fourth 2007. This year veteran actor Tony Danza will host a star-studded show that will feature performances from some of the country's best known and award-winning musical artists including recording artist Elliott Yamin (American Idol), Grammy award-winning gospel legend Yolanda Adams, Tony award-winner Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago, Cheers), the king of Rock 'n' Roll Little Richard, country music sensation Dierks Bentley, and star of the hit series Heroes Hayden Panettiere with the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of top pops conductor Erich Kunzel. The spectacular concert and show brings PBS viewers an unrivaled evening of patriotic and uplifting music followed by a stunning display of fireworks over the Washington Monument. The multi-award winning annual event will be broadcast live in high definition on PBS from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, July 4, 2007 from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET (check local listings). Capping off the show will be a rousing rendition of Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture" complete with live cannon fire provided by the United States Army Presidential Salute Battery, an audience favorite and now A Capitol Fourth tradition.
