Paul Potts, a mobile phone salesman, entered himself into the 2007 Britain's Got Talent show. Potts had always been lacking in self confidence, until after his performance of Nessun Dorma. This piece is from the opera Turandot by Giacomo Puccini. What is most moving are the reactions of judge Amanda Holden and the audience to the opera piece. (Holden is a well-known British actress) It is also incredibly funny to behold the looks of surprise on judges Simon Cowell (of American Idol) and Piers Morgan (former Daily Mirror newspaper editor)!!! The talented tenor ended up winning the competition. A true idol and proof that anything can be done if we put our minds to it!
