This game took place on May 20th, 1979. It would be the final WHA Game in History as the league would fold and 4 of its teams would join the NHL. ( Winnipeg, Quebec, Hartford & Edmonton ) In this game, the Jets would win 7-3 of Wayne Gretzky and his Oilers to claim the last ever AVCO Cup Championship & take rightful ownership of the award for life! Certainly one of the greatest moments in Winnipeg sports history and something nobody should go without witnessing! Enjoy the final moments...
