Understand Your Symptoms, Improve Your Health Three Keys to Understanding Your Health Turn Your Symptoms into Solutions: Three Things You Need to Know Three Essential Understandings to Better Health "If anything can cause anything how do you know whats causing what?" poses Dr. Richard DiCenso, leading authority in the field of Biological Fluid Analysis, author of Beyond Medicine: Exploring a New Way of Thinking, international speaker, and complementary care expert with over 30 years of medical experience. If anything can cause anything else, how do you know what you need to do to improve your health? The following three keys of understanding will help you find ways to turn your symptoms into proactive solutions. ==Understand Your Symptoms== Symptoms can come in a variety of forms, from pain to emotional feelings. Everyone's situation is unique to them, and no two people are exactly alike. Do not be too quick to jump to conclusions. Joint pain, for instance, does not necessarily mean you have arthritis. Consider what may be causing your symptoms. If you find yourself seeking medical assistance, communicate clearly. Only you know exactly what you are feeling. ==Understand Your Medications== If you have ever been to a grocery store, you will see hundreds of different supplements and medications, each claiming to make you feel great. Yet, even if you take ten different pills a day, without understanding what they do, and how they do it, you are not doing anything to improve your health. Take time to review your supplements and diet, and do not be afraid to ask a medical professional questions about how to better make your diet or supplemental medicines work for you. ==Understand Yourself== Often times, a behavior pattern, not a physical condition, is the root cause of your problems. The way you were raised, where you live, and your job all affect how you think. Reflect upon these things, examine them, and determine if any of them are the cause of your symptoms. A pattern of behavior that triggers negative symptoms continuously is known as a Vicious Cycle Disorder. Even if you have been told you are normal, or that there is nothing wrong with you, if you are feeling pain, seek to understand what is the cause by examining your own life, thoughts, and patterns of behavior. Dr. Proactive, Randy Gilbert producer and host of the Inside Success Show enjoyed learning from his interview with experienced physician and author, Dr. Richard DiCenso.
