Management consultancy McKinsey has established an Asia House in Frankfurt. Originally it was intended for German companies who wanted to do business in Asia. But more and more, the McKinsey consultants find themselves advising Asian firms that want to get a foothold in Germany. Consultant Maggie Do, of China has been working for McKinsey's Asia House for three years. Now she is a project head, helping a multi-cultural team of five advise CEOs from Asia and Europe who want to expand into new markets. Maggie Do is one of 40 consultants in Asia House. Most of her colleagues come from China, Japan or India. They are multilingual and highly educated, with job experience in Europe and Asia - and a sign of how McKinsey has reacted to the development of the Chinese economy and the growing expansion by Asian companies in European markets.
