Maine Eastern 001 at Maine Street, Brunswick, ME
Duration: 2:15Source: YouTube
Maine Eastern Railroad Train 001 draws through the Maine Street, Brunswick Crossing for an on-time arrival to Ceder Street Station at 9:50 A.M. This year, Maine Eastern has added another stop to their Rockland-Brunswick Service at the Brunswick Station Square, just above Ceder Street. Also, the railroad has made the Maine Street Crossing (with a new Safetran System) and several others FRA "quiet zones," so today's train, led by EMD FL9 488 and 489, does not follow standard horn procedure at this crossing (The train does honk since it stopped in the middle of the crossing). The Maine Street Crossing is located adjacent to the Brunswick Green, and is approximately two blocks north of Bowdoin College. Today's consist includes the two leading FL9s, followed by ME 2006 (the Alexander Hamilton), followed by Birkin, Elm (ME 1004), and Ash (ME 1003). Enjoy!
