 Source: Infolive.tv

Three IDF soldiers were killed and two wounded Wednesday morning after intense gunbattles erupted between soldiers and armed Palestinians near Kibbutz Be'eri close to the central Gaza Strip. The three were identified as Sgt. Matan Ovdati, 19, from Patish, Sgt. Menhash Albaniat, 20, a tracker from Kseife in the Negev and Sgt. David Papian, 21, from Tel Aviv.  Givati soldiers were patrolling the border near Kibbutz Be'eri when they spotted a number of armed Palestinians moving towards the border in what appeared to be an attempt to infiltrate into Israel. The soldiers entered central Gaza in pursuit of the Palestinian gunmen who according to reports wore camouflage and ambushed the soldiers. 04/16/08
