Four suspects are facing charges for allegedly assisting accused cop-killer Cuitlahuac Tahua "Tao" Rivera during the 17 days he attempted to flee from police, Merced County District Attorney Larry Morse said during a news conference on Friday. Morse announced the arrests of suspects Gerrard Reyes, 23, Serena Winzer, 24 and Anitra McKinney, 30 during the conference, which was held in front of the Merced Police Department’s main office. A fourth suspect, Gustavo Reyes, 24, is already incarcerated in a Colorado federal prison on weapons charges, Morse said. If convicted, all four suspects are facing seven years in prison. Morse said all four suspects allegedly played a role in helping Rivera flee to San Diego in his efforts to evade arrest. Rivera is accused of shooting Merced Police Officer Stephan Gray to death on April 15, 2004. His trial is scheduled to begin next week in Colusa County. Reporter Victor A.
